(Wireless Phone Accessory) The Kiwi U-Powered Solar & USB Portable Charger is the first dvecie of this type that I have owned. I would like to say that, as opposed to one of the previous comments, this dvecie does have a charger for LG phones. I recharged my LG Voyager with it.
What I like:
It can recharge many dvecies without access to a PC or a power outlet. (obviously)
It has the capacity to fully recharge most portable dvecies.
It has a standard USB port.
It has four options to recharge it’s battery. Solar, wall plug, car lighter and USB port.
It comes with a nice bag to carry everything in.
What I don’t like:
Variety comes with a downside. Lots of little pieces that can be lost. Luckily those pieces have their own little bag.
The solar panels look weird, like stickers, and not quite centered.
It takes a LONG time to recharge this things internal battery.
It doesn’t have a Zune adapter.(*keep reading!*)
The LG adapter fit pretty tight into my phone.
I purchased this to recharge a few different items this summer when camping. I was a bit disappointed that it didn’t have an adapter for the Zune. But, as with most portable dvecies nowadays, my Zune came with a USB cable/adapter. Having a USB charging port on this dvecie is a HUGE plus! Because it can recharge many other dvecies using the custom USB cables that come with them. I’m also disappointed with the amount of time it takes to recharge the internal battery, which is used to recharge your various dvecies. I knew that recharging it with the solar panels would take a while, but even recharging it in a wall plug took a long time. I topped off the charge from approximately a 50% charge via a wall plug the other day, and it took three hours to take the full charge. The LED light is nothing to write home about. Being a flashlight fanatic, I have a high standard for portable illumination. Three standard 5mm LEDs, provide a limited amount of usable light at short range.
Overall I’m happy with this solar charger, and I recommend this product.
